03-12-08: One stop shop solution – start up a business in Australia, simply and inexpensively
Service provider Polyglot Group offers support for foreign companies to successfully start doing business in Australia. The new outsourcing solution includes: business visa, portage, human resources and payroll. As part of Polyglot’s portfolio, the solution provides client support, cross-cultural and multilingual training, translation and interpreting services.
The one stop shop principle is a cost effective and time saving solution for foreign companies wanting to expand into the Asia Pacific region. Companies benefit from Polyglot’s 15 years accumulated know-how and understanding of the Australian market as well as the country and its people.
The financial crisis is having a lesser impact on the Australian market in comparison to other international markets; therefore setting up operations here is most profitable at present. The Australian market has been in the black for six years and, despite the financial crisis, economic growth of two percent is forecast. More importantly, the decreasing value of the Australian Dollar has made it really cheap to invest in Australia, either by setting up an office or by acquiring an existing business.
Founded in 1995 by French-born Corinne Bot, Polyglot offers a unique concept of multilingual and multicultural Human Resources and Business solutions as well as services to companies expanding overseas. Polyglot is present Australia-wide, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and has a partnership in New Caledonia.
25-11-08: Polyglot offers Foreign companies a hosting solution to provide a successful set up in Australia
With a 13 year record of helping Foreign companies establish in Australia, Polyglot has developed an innovative, practical and efficient hosting solution to start up a business in Australia. This hosting solution is a very cost-effective start up option for foreignn companies, looking for a step-by-step approach.
The Company Hosting Solution includes the provision of a modern and multicultural workplace in a dynamic working environment close to Sydney’s Central Business District. More importantly, it includes professional coaching and management of the company representative by experienced Polyglot directors as well as an opportunity to network in nearly every industry, giving quicker sales results in Australia.
Many European companies hesitate when it comes to exporting to Australia, because of the perceived high cost, lack of information on the market or long distances. Polyglot has come up with this innovative and pragmatic approach in order to make the Australian market more attractive for foreign businesses, offering help and advice at each step of setting up operations. Establishing a business in Australia is also an ideal springboard into the Asian market.
Australia offers a strong market potential to a wide range of foreign companies. The market is stable, has a low unemployment rate and can be rapidly profitable compared to other markets in Asia Pacific (Japan, China,…). Australian consumers appreciate innovative products and services and are willing to pay for them”, says Gérald Bot, Director Polyglot Group.
Founded in 1995 by French-born Corinne Bot, Polyglot offers a unique concept of multilingual and multicultural Human Resources and Business solutions as well as services to companies expanding overseas. 15-03-08: Polyglot babies 'more tolerant'
As read in "The Australian"!
Learning languages is good for you, but it seems that it is also good for society at large !
29-02-08: Straight from the UNESCO Courier: 2008 - International Year of Languages.
"The first instrument of a people's genius is its language," said the French writer Stendhal. Literacy, learning, social integration.Everything transits through language, which embodies national, cultural and sometimes religious identity for each person. It constitutes one of the fundamental dimensions of a human being. Yet specialists estimate that within only a few generations, more than half of the 7,000 languages spoken in the world face extinction, because they are not represented in government, education and the media. For this reason, the United Nations had declared 2008 the International Year of Languages, to be launched by UNESCO on 21 February, International Mother Language Day. For more info, go to:

(English Translation below) "A wave worth riding"
IT specialists, engineers, etc., Australia lacks skilled labour.
The answer? The nation's government has relaxed its immigration policy.
The time is now. Moving to Australia is worth it, concludes a French native who has been living in Sydney for 17 years: There are many opportunities for a resourceful person. However, arriving with no preparation, and expecting, in between surf lessons, to find a job straight away is not the solution. Even though the rate of unemployment is very low (2% in Sydney, 4.5% in the whole country), many French people need to become more realistic.
In order to try one's luck in the Antipodes, it is necessary to start looking even before boarding the plane. A manager who is bored in France could, for example, convince his boss to send him to Australia to explore this buoyant market. It's a good way to discover a country in which smaller French organisations have a low profile, and where some sectors suffer a shortage of skilled labour. Such shortages are particularly apparent in the construction and public works sector, as well as in mining groups: the nation lacks electricians, engineers, and IT specialists.
In response to this issue, the Federal government recently relaxed its immigration policy. Nowadays, obtaining a four-year residency visa is significantly easier than it has been in the past. Furthermore, young people travelling equipped with a working-holiday visa are now able to work for up to six months. Some tax breaks, such as the non-taxation of revenue earned abroad, have also been granted to visiting foreign nationals.
"Before all else, a small French organisation needs firstly to send one or several of its employees to explore the market."
Corinne Bot has a smile on her face. In 1997, when she created her recruitment agency specialising in placing foreign workers in Australia, this mother of two was relying on the income of her husband Gerald, who was employed by a multinational corporation. Today, Madame employs Monsieur to help her manage the development of her company, which currently employs twenty people. Pragmatism and rapid development in a number of directions: Polyglot as an organisation reflects its home country - Australia: land of opportunities. Its turnover is expected to double this year, to 6.8 million Australian dollars; Corinne Bot has just signed a 1.5 million dollar contract with the Federal government, whereby her staff needed to source and recruit hundreds of individuals speaking twenty different languages for a six week project as part of the nation's census. In reality however, recruitment today represents only 60% of Polyglot's activity. The company has diversified, in particular into the field of translation services, and it manages the HR Management and payroll for a number of its clients: local or expatriate employees (visa formalities, payment of wages, etc). Grald Bot is responsible for the development of a new subsidiary called Polyglot Business Solutions: a small organisation that wants to explore the Australian market will be able to send one or several of its employees to Polyglot's future premises, located 3 minutes from the CBD. Office space and appropriate contacts as well as business coaching and assistance with networking will all be at their disposal.
The best advice to succeed in Australia is to start with Polyglot.
